Monique Ramirez – Paralegal

Monique is a first-generation college graduate of San Jose State University where she majored in Justice Studies with a minor in Human Rights. During her undergraduate years she obtained legal and social welfare experience through internships with the San Jose Peace and Justice Center, Santa Clara County Superior Court, Santa Clara County Sherriff’s Office Programs Unit at Elmwood Correctional Facility, and the Santa Clara County Reentry Center. Her special interests include women’s rights, prisoner’s rights, social justice, criminal justice, and inmate reentry to society. She enjoys visiting new places, exploring, eating, spending time with family, listening to music, watching the latest popular TV shows, cooking and going to the gym. Monique’s future career aspirations include attending law school and subsequently practicing criminal law.
